All our dogs, for a set donation, come neutered, vaccinated, wormed and micro-chipped. Once we carry out a successful home check you then take your new family member home for a trial period to make sure both you, and the dog, are happy together. Adopters must realise a dog is a rewarding but life time commitment and that your new dog make take quite a few months to settle into their new home, given some have a traumatic past. However, the unconditional love you get in return cannot be bettered.

Here is our SOS leaflet.doc outlining our work and how you can help us.

Barley needs a home

Hello. My name is Barley.I am male, about 4 yrs old and am a handsome collie/retriever cross.  have been blind since birth but I am active and love my walks. My foster mum keeps me on a lead but thats ok as I get to go most places I want to .I have never had a loving home and was very thin and not very well when S.O.S first took me in, but now I am much bigger and my vet checks are ok so I am searching for a patient caring home. I am a bit nervous around other dogs so I would prefer to be on my own. I am very affectionate and am good with children and adults. I am house trained and I love traveling in the car. I go to see a consultant on 1st July who will assess whether he can restore any of my sight so I am keeping my paws crossed. Watch this space!
